Mark Johnson, a beloved husband, father, and friend, passed away peacefully on September 12, 2024, at the age of 72. Born on May 15, 1952, in Chicago, Illinois, Mark lived a life filled with love, laughter, and dedication to his family and community.

Mark was a devoted husband to his wife of 45 years, Sarah, and a loving father to their two children, Emily and Michael. He was a proud grandfather to three grandchildren, who brought him immense joy. Mark was also a dedicated employee at his company, where he worked for over 30 years.

Mark was known for his kind and gentle nature, his quick wit, and his infectious laugh. He was always willing to lend a helping hand to those in need and was a beloved member of his community. Mark was passionate about his hobbies, which included gardening, reading, and spending time with his family.

Mark will be deeply missed by his family and friends. A memorial service will be held on September 17, 2024, at 11:00 AM at the First Baptist Church of Chicago. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the American Cancer Society
